Bank In Madison Expected To Close Branch In 2026: Report
The bank, which was renamed following a merger, has two branches in town.
MADISON, CT — Ascend Bank, which has two branches in Madison, is looking to close one of the locations in 2026, the Shoreline Times reported.
The bank has reportedly filed a request with the state banking authority to close its North Madison branch at 494 Old Toll Road in the Robert’s Food Center. Its other branch in Madison is at 589 Boston Post Road.
If approved by regulators, the closure would reportedly occur at the end of March.

Ascend was created following a merger between Eastern Connecticut Savings Bank and Guilford Savings Bank.
The institution currently has 13 shoreline locations.
