Boyd Hagen Exhibit At Khaki & Black

Boyd Hagen, a New York City photographer, is having his work exhibited at Khaki & Black in Madison.

Here is what Hagen has to say about the exhibit:

"... these photos are just the beginning of the Canal St. project--I sort of just jumped into this to see what I would find, and it turned out to be a really fascinating area that hasn't been much exposed. Canal St seems to be the least changed of major Manhattan commercial streets, with a lot of unexpected undercurrents from the different communities that co-exist there (Chinatown, Soho, Little Italy, Tribeca--each of which has its own aesthetic)--fertile ground for photos. I already have several excellent images in addition to what's in the show, and I'm going back soon to produce more. I credit Joel with this discovery on my part--his offer of a show was the original impetus that sent me to Canal St. So, what people see here is the very beginning of what I hope will be an extensive group of photos that capture this unique area of New York City."

Khaki & Black is at 762 Boston Post Road in Madison, CT. The show will be up through August. Khaki & Black is open Mon-Sat, 10-6, and Sun, 12-4.
