Firefighters Battle House Fire In Madison
The Thursday night fire was reported on Fairview Avenue.

MADISON, CT — Firefighters doused a fire at a home on Fairview Avenue in Madison Thursday night, according to fire officials.
No injuries were reported in the blaze, which was reported by a fire alarm activation.
"On arrival, Chief 20 had smoke showing and transmitted the working fire," officials wrote in a post on Facebook. "Fire was discovered in the first floor of an unoccupied 3-story house. No injuries to civilians or firefighters."

With the fire under control quickly, Madison firefighters were able to call off the automatic mutual aid of fire personnel from North Madison, Guilford, Clinton, and Killingworth.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Madison Fire Marshals Office.

"A working home fire detection system did its job and notified the fire department," officials said.
