From the Madison Public Schools: 

The first day of school for Madison Public School students will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013.

The School District Calendar in PDF format is posted on the website on the right-hand side of the Dates of Distinction page.  This convenient One-Page calendar displays important dates on one page.

The Dates of Distinction page lists events for all schools in our district.  You can filter this page to show only the events for the schools your children attend.

  • December break will be December 23 through December 31, 2013. New Year's Day also is a vacation day. 
  • February break is February 17 to 19, 2014. 
  • April break is April 14 though 18, 2014, and those dates are also marked as "Potential Make-up Days for Unscheduled School Closings." 
  • June 12, 2014 is the last day of school
  • June 12 through 20 are marked as make-up dates for possible school closings
