Whether you knit, crochet, spin, felt or sew, enjoying a soothing cup of tea or herbal beverage always makes your project more enjoyable. Madison Wool and Savvy Tea Gourmet have joined together to offer their very first event, bringing you some of the latest trends in fashion and fiber for you to enjoy this season AND offer artisan teas for you to explore and taste in a tasting seminar. Taste and learn about Teas of the World in this tea tasting offered by Phil Parda and Judy Guard, co-owners of Savvy Tea Gourmet. Understand the difference between artisan teas and teabags from your local grocer, and come to appreciate the health benefits, flavors and taste profiles of some of the best teas of the world. Find out how tea has aided artists, poets and scholars in their works for centuries. This is a one-hour tea tasting class-6 teas will be served. Packages of artisan teas that are served in the tasting will be available for purchase. Following the tea tasting, there will be a break with tea and scones prepared by Savvy Tea Gourmet for your enjoyment and conversation with friends. Then, check out the latest in Spring and Summer Yarns with Dayna Mankowski, owner of Madison Wool, and Narda Pinkham, yarn sales representative. We will have finished garments on display to inspire you, plus the latest in the season's best yarns for you to 'taste' as well as samples to take home and enjoy. Learn about the new yarns and how best to use them for your particular project. Dayna will also be spinning fun textured yarns, and will explain the process of making yarn using a spinning wheel.
