Kokoruda Stands in Support of Balanced, No-Tax-Increase Republican Budget Proposal
State Rep. Kokoruda supports the No-Tax Increase Budget Proposal to produce spending plans within the state'e means.

Form CT Republicans: House and Senate Republicans presented a no-tax-increase budget today that boosts education spending, protects core services, and closes projected deficits without pushing the burden on hospitals and municipalities. The proposal is a balanced budget that adheres to the state spending cap.
Rep. Kokoruda (R-101) said the proposed budget provides a blueprint for restoring confidence in Connecticut by creating predictability and showing that legislators are ready to produce spending plans that live within the state’s means.
“The Republican Party presented a budget that stands behind the taxpayers and businesses of this state,” said Rep. Kokoruda. “Our budget does not shift heavy burdens onto municipalities, taxpayers and businesses. We need to take care of our own house here in Connecticut, and our budget proposal does just that. People are struggling to pay their taxes, struggling to stay in their communities and struggling to stay in this state. This is a very critical time in our state and we must get back on track and stop growing government. My hope at this point is that this budget be a starting point for both parties to work together to move our state forward.”
