Madison Baseball Field Project Faces Fast-Approaching Deadline: Report
The project is already near its budget cap and one important item won't be completed for now.

MADISON, CT — Town officials are trying to complete the baseball field renovation project at the Town Campus on time and also on budget. Town officials must complete the project before the first game is scheduled, which is April 22, the Madison Source reports.
The $150,000 budget is almost at its cap too, which means some items won't be done for now, including dugouts, which the baseball community wanted, and they may have to fundraise to get the dugouts completed, the Source reports.
The project will improve safety, which was a big concern, and adds a fence near where the dugouts would be, adds a backstop, and the field is being reconstructed.

Officials have conceded that the project suffered from having so many voice involved and that the project kept moving in different directions. But everyone is agreed that the field needs to be ready to play ball on April 22.
