Madison Top School Administrators Reassigned Due to Downsizing

"The school district's reconfiguration plan continues to advance on schedule as we prepare the entire school community for contraction"

MADISON, CT - Madison School Superintendent has sent out an update on how downsizing from six to five schools will mean some reorganization of upper level positions at the schools.

Here is Superintendent Scarice's message to the community:

"The school district's reconfiguration plan continues to advance on schedule as we prepare the entire school community for the contraction of our district footprint from six schools to five.

"The volume of change we are confronted with as a school community is quite substantial. Yet, the professionalism and talent of our staff, and the strength of our building leadership team, continues to contribute significantly to our success during this period of transition. Please see our district website for additional information related to ourreconfiguration process.

"If you recall, parents were informed of their child's 2019-2020 elementary school assignment in October. Additionally, on January 23, the entire K-12 faculty was made aware of their preliminary building and grade level assignments for next year, with the understanding that these assignments are very preliminary and subject to change between now and the start of the school year.

"With transition activities scheduled for students, parents, and staff in the near future, it is an appropriate time to notify the larger school community of the building administrator assignments for 2019-2020. Following a series of individual conversations I recently had with each building administrator, I would like to make our parent community aware of the building administrator assignments for 2019-2020. I share this information to assist you, as a parent, in transitioning your child for the 2019-2020 school year."
