Public Hearing Tuesday On Proposed $100.1M Madison Budget For 2025-26
The recommended budget represents a 2.59 percent increase from the previous fiscal year.
MADISON, CT — A public hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday to review the recommended 2025-26 budget for Madison, which stands at $100.1 million, down from $100.6 million, officials announced.
The proposed budget, which covers spending for both the town and the school system, represents a 2.59 percent increase from the previous fiscal year.
"The Board of Education Budget is increasing by 1.87 percent and the Town Budget (which includes Town and School capital and debt service costs) is increasing 3.92 percent," wrote First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons in a recent Community Update.

Tuesday's public hearing, which is being held by the Board of Finance at the Town Campus, will allow taxpayers a opportunity to provide public comment. Taxpayers can attend in person or via Zoom, information for which can be found here.
