Special Town Meeting Scheduled In Madison In July
The meeting is being held to approve two special appropriations.
MADISON, CT — The Madison Board of Selectmen will hold a Special Town Meeting at 7 p.m. on July 9 to approve two special appropriations, according to First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons.
"The first is for an amount not to exceed $2,602,900 for the Madison Hose Company Fire House Expansion/EOC Project, and the second is for an amount not to exceed $228,200 for the Green Hill Softball Turf Replacement Project," Lyons wrote in a recent Community Update.
Approvals are needed to allow the town to use funds from the undesignated fund balance.

The town's electors and citizens qualified to vote in town meetings are eligible to vote at the special meeting, which will be held at the Polson Auditorium, 302 Green Hill Road in Madison.
