"5 Things You Need to Know..." About New Year's Eve Events, Visual Preference Surveys and "Pizza, Parachutes & Bingo"

1. The National Weather Service says Wednesday will be party sunny with a high of 36 degrees. The low is forecasted to be about 17 degrees late Wednesday evening. And it will be a lot less windier than it's been in recent days, with gusts forecasted to be no higher than 8 miles per hour.

3. All girl's basketball tournament games cancelled Monday evening because of the snow will be played Wednesday at 6 p.m., while the Manchester High School girls basketball team is scheduled to play Norwich Free Academy at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the high school's main gym.
