Bandits Make Off With Cash After Wrecking Bank Machine In Manchester: Police
A weekend caper in Manchester left a bank machine damaged and cash missing, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — An automated teller machine in Manchester was wrecked by bandits who made off with a bundle of cash over the weekend, police said.
At about 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Manchester officers responded to Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union for an ATM burglary alarm. The bank is located at 975 Middle St.
When the officers arrived, they found the exterior ATM door had been forcibly ripped off, and an unknown amount of cash was missing from the ATM, according to an incident report.

Investigators were able to determine that a stolen white Ford F-250 pickup truck was used to remove the door, according to an incident report. Police said three people wearing hoodies, masks and gloves were observed on surveillance footage taking part in the theft.
The truck left the area but was later located unoccupied in Glastonbury, police said.

Said police, "The Manchester Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the theft is asked to contact Detective (Jonathan) Sargolini at 959-333-5146."
