Dog Roaming For Weeks On And Near Highway Rescued In Manchester
A dog that has been wandering in a heavy traffic area of Manchester is now safe.

MANCHESTER, CT — A roaming dog that has been the target of Manchester Animal Control officers for some time has been rescued.
Animal control officials late last week said that, with the help of the CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteer Network, the male dog was "finally able to be trapped" on Tolland Turnpike.
The dog was first sighted "a few weeks ago" on the westbound side of Interstate 84, animal control officials said.

The dog didn't seem to be wild. He had on an e-collar, but did not seem to be microchipped, animal control officials said.
