Fire Leaves Manchester Home Uninhabitable
Manchester fire crews battled a blaze in a single-family home that left five displaced.

MANCHESTER, CT — A fire left a home in Manchester uninhabitable heading into the weekend.
As of Monday, the American Red Cross was helping the family — two adults and three children — which was displaced from the dwelling at 22 Pine Hill St.
The fire broke out at 11:28 a.m., fire officials said. Arriving companies found a fire in a second floor bedroom in the single-family home. In all, Manchester Fire responded with five companies, and brought the blaze under control in 18 minutes, officials said.

The house is presently uninhabitable, officials said.
No injuries were reported and the Manchester Fire Marshal's Office is conducting an investigation for the origin and cause.
