Heat Advisory Issued For Hartford, Tolland County This Weekend
The National Weather Service said it may feel as hot as 99 degrees this weekend.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the upcoming weekend.
The heat advisory is in effect from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday and it may feel as hot as 99 degrees, the weather service said.
"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur," the weather service said.

"In many areas, the heat and humidity this Saturday and Sunday will bring the hottest conditions since last August, and in some locations, record highs that have stood for more than 100 years could be broken," according to AccuWeather.com. (Read more about the record heat at Accuweather.com).
There is also a chance for thunderstorms after 7 p.m. Friday, the weather service said.

Today: Increasing clouds, with a high near 82. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 7pm and 2am. Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny and hot, with a high near 98. Heat index values as high as 101. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70. South wind 3 to 7 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Light south wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the morning.
Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
