Jeopardy Contestant Stops by Local Retirement Home
David Gard, a contestant on Jeopardy, stopped by the Arbors of Hop Brook recently to pay a visit to his mother and speak to residents about the popular game show.

A large crowd of residents and family member’s enthusiastic Jeopardy fans gathered in the auditorium recently. On Friday night, March 2, the Arbors hosted a private "meet and greet" reception for Jeopardy contestant David Gard, whose mother Claire Gard is a new resident at the Arbors of Hop Brook Retirement Community.
She couldn't be any more proud of her son! The event was well attended with more than 50 Arbors residents and staff members. David's siblings and their families joined the group to watch David's Jeopardy debut episode. Some traveling from as far as Boston to be at the event and show their support. Many of the Arbors residents are avid fans of the popular game show.
David explained the process for qualifying to be a Jeopardy contestant, captivating recollection of his Los Angeles experiences. Immediately following the reception the group watched Jeopardy together on the large flat screen TV. Many residents and guests had fun calling out the answers to Alex Trebek's questions as the rounds unfolded leading up to "Final Jeopardy".

David defeated the reigning champion and went on to win over $29, 000. Rumor has it that Mr. Gard appeared on more than a few episodes of the show. Everyone will have to tune in to find out just how well David did in L.A. as he was contractually sworn to secrecy by the game show.
