Loaded Gun Seized, 5 Arrested After Brawl In Manchester
A Wednesday afternoon altercation in Manchester led to a gun being confiscated and five being arrested.

MANCHESTER, CT — A Wednesday afternoon altercation in Manchester led to a gun being confiscated and five people taken from the scene in handcuffs, police said.
At 4:29 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Delmont Street after police received calls ablout an active disturbance involving several individuals fighting in the road, according to an incident report.
When officers arrived, they observed multiple people engaged in a brawl and a vehicle connected to the incident about to leave the area. Officers blocked the road to prevent the car from fleeing and the vehicle stopped in the area of Delmont Street and Summit Street, where its three occupants were taken into custody, according to an incident report.

The occupants of the vehicle were identified as two "adult males and one juvenile male."
During the investigation, officers recovered a "Glock-style ghost gun" from the car, according to an incident report. The firearm had no identifying marks or serial number and was equipped with an extended 40-round magazine loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition, according to an incident report.

Officers also seized a "realistic-looking" BB gun that resembled a firearm, according to an incident report.
A police investigation determined that the three males in the vehicle had brought two females to the address on Delmont Street with the intent to fight another female, according to an incident report. The resulting disturbance prompted calls from witnesses, which led police to respond to the scene, according to an incident report.
As a result of the incident, five were arrested.:
- The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Trezir Johnson of Bloomfield, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, reckless endangerment, interfering with police and Illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle. Johnson posted a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 17.
- A passenger, 18-year-old Austin Copeland of Bloomfield, was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a firearm with no serial number, illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine, and weapons in a motor Vehicle. Copeland was being held on a $300,000 bond and is also scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 17.
- A 17-year-old male in the vehicle was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle and carrying a dangerous weapon.
- Officers arrested another 17-year-old and 18-year-old Jurriah Kelly of Manchester for their involvement in the altercation. Both were charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.
The firearm, extended magazine, and ammunition were seized as evidence, police said.
