Local Places to Cool Down Today

The Manchester Emergency Management Division offered the following information to help residents stay safe and cool during the current heatwave.

The current combination of high temperatures, humidity and poor air quality constitute a threat, especially to certain groups of people: older adults, children,  and people with respiratory or other health problems. If you are experiencing physical discomfort and are looking for access to a cool environment to take shelter from excruciating temperatures forecast for Thursday, please consider these already utilized sites in Manchester:
