Manchester American Legion Baseball Wins Opener 6-2 Over Windsor
The team notched a 6-2 victory over Windsor Tuesday.

Manchester American Legion Baseball opened their 2012 season in Windsor and came away with a 6-2 victory behind five solid innings of pitching by David Grande. Grande allowed two runs and stranded five Windsor base runners over five innings before Brighton Ferris came in and closed the final two innings. Ferris didn't allow a run.
Manchester was held hitless until the fourth inning when they scored two unearned runs on three walks andtwo Windsor wild pitches. Manchester would score four more times in their half of the fifth inning to put the game away. Grande got his first win of the season and Casey Johnson took the loss for Windsor.
Manchester opens their home season at 7 p.m. on Friday night at Northwest Park against East Hartford.
