Manchester Firefighter Pleads Guilty in Sex Case

Christopher Pellingra will be sentenced to nine months in prison.

A Manchester volunteer firefighter charged in connection to a 2010 attempted sexual assault has pleaded guilty.

Christopher Pellingra pleaded guilty under the Alford doctrine to an attempt to commit first-degree unlawful restraint, meaning he does not admit guilt by agrees the state has enough evidence to convict him at trial, The Hartford Courant reported.

Police said Pellingra invited a female firefighter over to his house in 2010 and attempted to restrain her so that she would perform oral sex on him, the Courant reported.

He was on administrative leave and will now be terminated from his job at the Eighth District fire department, Chief Ron Russo told the Courant.
