Manchester Road Race Committee Announces 'Road Race Saturday' Events

MANCHESTER, CT — Five days before it hosts thousands of guests on Thanksgiving Day, the Manchester Road Race Committee is inviting the public over for a few "appetizers" on Road Race Saturday.

Race organizers are sponsoring a health and fitness expo and the Little Manchester Road Race on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Manchester High School.

The school is located at 134 East Middle Turnpike.

The Road Race Saturday events mark the kickoff of activities in Manchester that will precede the 89th running of the iconic Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day.

The health and fitness expo will feature a wide range of vendors and exhibits on topics of interest to runners, including training, athletic gear, and sports medicine. Manchester Road Race shirts and apparel will also be on sale. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon in the M.H.S. cafeteria.

In-person registration and bib pickup for the road race will also be available that day in the high school cafeteria from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The popular Little Manchester Road Race will be held on the Manchester High School track at 10 a.m. It will feature fun runs of various distances for children ages 12 and younger, plus a display of emergency vehicles, a skydiving exhibition, music and costumed characters. All runners will receive a medal and t-shirt

The LMRR is limited to the first 1,000 children who register at www.manchesterroadrace.com. Participants who have registered should sign in at the health and fitness expo in the high school cafeteria starting at 8:30 a.m. There is no entry fee, but children are requested to bring two non-perishable food items for donation to the MACC Charities emergency food pantry.

The 89th Manchester Road Race will be held on Thanksgiving Day (November 27, 2025) at 10 a.m. The race is run on a 4.737-mile loop course over central Manchester streets and is expected to attract more than 10,000 runners, including some of the world's best distance competitors.
