Manchester’s Annual Historic Preservation Awards Announced
You are invited to the Annual Historic Preservation Awards Program to be held on May 24, 2017 at 5:00 pm at the Lincoln Center.

From Cheney Brothers National Historic District Commission, Manchester Historical Society: The Cheney Brothers Historic District Commission and the Manchester Historical Society recognize property owners who have improved their property in a manner that preserves its historic value and character. Through their example these owners show we can enhance the present and future of Manchester without discarding its past.
The Commission and the Society wish to recognize property owners who have actively maintained or rehabilitated a home or commercial building in a manner that respects and preserves that building’s historic architectural integrity and character. We invite you to participate in our Annual Historic Preservation Awards Program to be held on May 24, 2017 at 5:00 pm at the Lincoln Center Hearing Room.
The home/building that is being nominated must be at least 50 years old. Homes/buildings which are identified as contributing

properties in any of Manchester’s National Register of Historic Districts will receive additional consideration.The nominated property
should exhibit efforts to preserve or restore architectural features and characters emblematic of the original architectural style and construction of the building.

Nominations must be submitted for consideration to the Planning Dept. by Monday Aril 10, 2017. Nomination forms can be found on the town website or by contacting the Planning Dept. at 860-647-3044.
