Manchester Community College Awards More Than 1,000 Degrees at 48th Commencement Ceremony [VIDEO]
The state's largest community college held its 48th annual commencement ceremony Thursday, May 31.
Under bright blue skies, held its 48th annual commencement ceremony Thursday, awarding more than 1,000 degrees to students in over 60 programs from culinary arts to criminal justice.
Daniel H. Bates, a Newington resident who earned an associate degree in Engineering Science, was the 2012 valedictorian. Manchester resident Kevin M. MacVane, who earned an associate degree in general studies, was the salutatorian.
Lewis J. Robinson, the retired general counsel of Travelers Property Casualty, delivered the commencement address. Owner was awarded an honorary degree for his "commitment and dedication" to MCC. Devanney as a member of the college's Regional Advisory Council.
