Patch Poll: Uniforms at Illing?
Let us know how you feel about the idea of students wearing uniforms at Arthur H. Illing Middle School.
When the Board of Education met Monday, several members about extending the pilot uniform program at Arthur H. Illing Middle School another year.Â
The program began this school year, and requires all 7th and 8th grade students at the school to adopt a "uniform dress" of similar looking khaki pants and polo shirts in school colors from an approved vendor.Â
Illing Principal Troy Monroe credited the program with helping to create "a positive climate and tone" at the school since its adoption, but noted that in a recent survey students were wildly opposed to the idea.Â
