Police Urge Caution After String of ATM Robberies

Three separate ATM robberies Monday appear to be related, according to police.

If you are using an ATM in the Manchester area, police are urging caution and extra vigilance after three separate robberies Monday. 

According to Manchester Police, the three robberies appear to be related and each involved a white male approaching a victim immediately after they had just made an ATM withdrawal and threatening to have a gun. Police said none of the victims reported actually seeing a gun, however. 

In the first robbery, which occurred at the Bank of America branch at 893 Main St. at approximately 3:03 p.m., the suspect was described as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black mask and sunglasses.

In the second robbery, which occurred at the Bank of American branch at 14 North Main St., the suspect was described as a white male wearing a mask and a blue sweatshirt.

In the third robbery, which occurred at First Niagara Bank branch at 344 West Middle Turnpike, the suspect was described as a white male with dark hair who stood about 5'9" or 5'10" in his late teens or early 20s. The suspect wore an oversized red shirt with red scarf or bandanna over his face during this robbery. 

Police are asking individuals using ATMs in the Manchester area to be extra cognizant of their surroundings and people in the area, especially late at night.
