Rahman Wins Open Seat In 4th State Senate District

MANCHESTER/GLASTONBURY, CT — Democrat MD Rahman captured the open seat in the state Senate Tuesday.

The final count was 23,630 to 15,554 against Republican Jacqueline Crespan.

State Democrats were predicting the win well before all 19 precincts had reported their results and did indeed keep the seat.

Rahman won two key towns — Manchester by the count of 11,776 to 6,563 and Glastonbury by the count of 9,481 to 6,847.
