Scarecrows Wanted for 4th Annual Downtown Manchester Scarecrow Contest!
The Scarecrow display and contest is sponsored by the Downtown Manchester Special Services District.

Downtown Manchester will celebrate its 4Th Annual from October 1 through October 27.  Businesses, organizations and interested individuals are invited to create a family friendly Scarecrow for display in historic downtown Manchester during this four week period. The Scarecrows will be placed in assigned locations throughout the downtown beginning September 29.
Prizes will be awarded to Scarecrow artists in a variety of categories including: People’s Choice and Facebook Favorites Prize.
Scarecrow Artists must register to participate.

Winners will be recognized and prizes awarded during a ceremony on Sat. Oct. 27th at 11 a.m. by the Dancing Bears Fountain in Center Memorial Park next to the Mary Cheney Library.
In 2011 over 40 scarecrows were on display. Event organizers would love to see that number increase this year.Â

The Downtown District is pleased to once again work with Crimson Art Box on this project.
