MANCHESTER, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's distinction: Keren is an activist protesting about racism in CT

Relationship to nominee: She is a friend

Reason for recognition: Keren should be nominated because she has tirelessly been out to the intersection of Main St and Center St in Manchester holding protests against racism. She brought people together on June 19.

One thing to know: Her giving back to the community with a two day event to collect bikes for underprivileged Black and Brown children. She has collected over 50 bikes!
