STORRS, CT — The annual University of Connecticut HuskyTHON event shattered its previous record and raised more than $2.1 Million for Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

That's right, in "a historic moment for the University of Connecticut and the HuskyTHON
community," more than 4,000 students came together on Saturday for the annual 18-hour Dance
Marathon at which was announced money raised totaling $2,102,853.03 for Connecticut Children’s.

The amount marked the first time in HuskyTHON's 26-year history that fundraising efforts have surpassed the $2 million milestone.

HuskyTHON is the largest student-run organization at UConn, the largest Miracle
Network Dance Marathon in the country by participation, and one of the top fundraising Miracle
Network Dance Marathons in the nation.

The 2025 campaign theme was "Change the Tide."

The dance event, staged in the Hugh S. Greer Field House from 6 a.m. to midnight, was a
culmination of months of dedicated fundraising by UConn students. The night concluded with the
highly anticipated fundraising total reveal, which was met with cheers and celebration.

Over the past 26 years, HuskyTHON has raised more than $15 million for Connecticut
Children's.
