Local 4th of July Fireworks Celebration Postponed
Manchester has pushed its James "Dutch" Fogarty Independence Day Celebration and fireworks display to Sunday due to concerns of inclement weather.

The town is postponing the 29th annual and fireworks display to Sunday because of the threat of potentially strong thunderstorms Saturday, according to Fire Chief Robert Bycholski.
The event, held at the Bicentennial Band Shell, will now begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, with bands Skyline Drive scheduled to play from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Mohegan Sun All Stars scheduled to play from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The fireworks are set for 9:30 p.m.
