We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "Drivers that constantly run the light at the entrance of the Rt. 6 highway by the EastBrook mall. Daily! I can't tell you how many times I've almost been hit there. That light needs a camera."
- "Not having traffic lights with turn arrows at the intersection of Rt. 32 and 44."
- "People walking across the roads without even looking to see if a car is coming. Too busy looking at their phones."
- "Okay, our family just relocated here, from California. I have a question about passing on the right. When a car in front of you is stopped/yielding to oncoming traffic, while waiting to make a left turn, is it legal to pass them on the right? I've lived in many states and have never seen this before. It seems very unsafe and illegal! Apparently it's the norm around these parts?"
