Several Injured In Mansfield Explosion: Police [Update]
BREAKING: The victims were taken to area hospitals.

MANSFIELD, CT — Several people have been injured in an explosion at Spring Hill Inn in Mansfield, Connecticut State Police said. The nature of the explosion is not clear.
The state police explosion unit along with firefighters and Life Star is on scene. Route 195 between Route 275 and Spring Hill is closed.

The gas explosion at 957 Storrs Road — the historic Spring Hill Inn — took place just before 5 p.m., police said. The scene was under control about 90 minutes later, police said.

Tolland County 911 reported that there were six victims in all and two were critical. Life Star helicopter was called to the scene, police said. The victims were taken to area hospitals, police said.
