Two Bears Sighted in Meriden

State and local authorities are investigating a pair of reported bear sightings from the past few days.

The Record-Journal reported that a bear was sighted Sunday afternoon on Dogwood Lane and another was reportedly sited on Converse Avenue on Monday.

The newspaper reported that several motorists near I-691 reported the second sighting.

It's unclear whether they were the same bears.
