MERIDEN, CT — A convicted felon was arrested after police said he was found in possession of an illegal gun and drugs during an investigation.

The Meriden Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit conducted an investigation in April and May into suspected narcotics activity in the area of Willow Street, according to Sgt. Michael Boothroyd.

Through the course of the investigation, Boothroyd said members of CSU identified 32-year-old Deyshon Pina of Meriden as a suspect involved in the sale of illegal narcotics. Members of CSU also received information that Pina was in possession of an illegal firearm, according to Boothroyd.
