MERIDEN, CT — The former il Monticello banquet facility and catering hall property has been sold to Elevate Life Church, realtors announced this week. In a news release, RGN Realty announced the sale of 577 South Broad Street in Meriden and said the property has "traded hands multiple times in the last few years and is now stated to become the new home of Elevate Life Church, currently located in Wallingford." Previous <a href="https://patch.com/connecticut/meriden/popular-wedding-venue-be-demolished-meriden-new-use-revealed" target="_blank">plans for the property</a>, which includes 1299 South Broad St. in Wallingford, called for a new <a href="https://www.modwash.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">ModWash</a> car wash to be built at the site, the Hartford Business Journal reported in January. The <a href="https://www.regionco.com/577sbroad" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">listing by RGN Realty</a> noted that the property would be "sold with a deed restriction removing the property's ability to be developed as a car wash." No further information was provided. Ben Bolotin of RGN Realty, a regional commercial real estate brokerage company based in Massachusetts, represented the seller, and LynnAnn Weed of Weed Realtors based in North Haven, represented the buyer.‍
