He Is ‘A Ray Of Sunshine And Loves To Share’: Meriden Star Student

MERIDEN, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Joseph goes over and beyond to help his friends and teacher. He is willing to give a hand and help others when needed. When observing Joseph, he was able to help another student all while doing his work at the same time. Not only is he a star student he is also an amazing big brother who is a great role model and enjoys sharing and teaching what he learned in school with his sister. We are so proud of our two time student of the month for Israel Putnam !

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Joseph enjoys helping others including his teachers and loves making friends smile when they are having a rough day. He often writes small happy notes and hands them out to friends to brighten their day. Joseph is a ray of sunshine and loves to share his light with others.
