Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 6-Year-Old Child: Meriden Police
The man is accused of sexually assaulting and physically abusing a 6-year-old child numerous times for several years, according to police.

MERIDEN, CT — A man is accused of sexually assaulting and physically abusing a 6-year-old child, according to Meriden police.
Police said the Special Crimes Unit began investigating a complaint in July that accused 32-year-old Adaliz Rojas of sexually assaulting and physically abusing a 6-year-old child numerous times for several years between Meriden and New Haven.
Rojas was arrested on Dec. 14 on a warrant in New Haven, according to police.

Rojas was charged with two counts of third-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury/impairing the morals of children, and two counts of second-degree strangulation / suffocation. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond with a court date of Jan. 27, according to state judicial records.
“We at the Meriden Police Department are wholeheartedly committed to protecting children,” police wrote in a news release. “We understand the impact of these crimes and we work with partner agencies to help provide services to the affected victims and their families. It is the policy of the Meriden Police Department to fully investigate every allegation of crimes against children that is brought to our organization.”
