Meriden Man Charged With Possessing Ecstasy
Edwin Caldas was taken into custody on Thursday.

A Meriden man is facing drug charges after police said he was caught in possession of MDMA, known as Ecstasy or "Molly."
The Hartford Courant reported that 23-year-old city resident Edwin Caldas was arrested in Wallingford with 1.7 grams of the drug at the time of his arrest. Police also seized other items related to the drug, the Courant reported.
Online court records show that Caldas served probation in 2010 for selling drugs and he was sent to jail that same year for 30 days for a third-degree assault.

He has a few pending motor vehicle charges as well, including traveling too fast and a failure to drive in the proper lane, records stated.
