Meriden Police Investigate 'Untimely Deaths'

A man and a woman were found dead Sunday morning in a parked car covered with snow, victims of apparent CO poisoning, police said.

 

A man and a woman were found dead Sunday morning inside a car parked in a driveway at 11 Webster Street.

Police are not releasing the names of the 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman but say both are from Meriden. The deaths appear to be the result of carbon monoxide poisioning, police said.

The bodies were discovered shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday. When police arrived on the scene, emergency responders had already been notified of the incident.

According to police, the man and woman were last seen together at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night before they went into the car to listen to some music.

Police said although there were shoveled paths to the sides of the vehicle, the rest of the car was covered with snow. No foul play is suspected.

Police said a cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The incident remains under investigation.
