Meriden Student Wins BIC Scholarship
The recipient, Michael Vensel, is receiving a $4,000 scholarship from the Shelton-based corporation.

Michael Vensel, of Meriden, is the recipient of a $4,000 scholarship from BIC Corporation. The scholarships are awarded annually to the children of BIC employees and are based on the students’ scholastic achievements and community service.
This year, BIC awarded a total of $115,000 in scholarships to 62 students, including Mr. Vensel, who is studying Computer and Information Systems at Sacred Heart University. He is the son of Carl Vensel.

BIC Corporation began its scholarship program in 1971 to support future leaders and to help employees' children defray the cost of college and graduate school.
