New Eatery Opens In Former Avanti Restaurant Space In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — A new Italian restaurant recently opened in the former home of Avanti Restaurant at 34 River Road in Meriden.

The Avanti owners announced in September that the restaurant would be closing on Oct. 31 due to the building being sold.

The building was purchased by Red Fox CT which opened Red Fox Osteria in the space, the Connecticut Scoop first reported.

Red Fox Osteria will serve traditional Italian cuisine with family style meals and a menu that includes freshly made pastas, pizzas, and a full bar, according to a post on its Facebook page.
