Obituary: Andrew K. Breitzke, 67, of Meriden

Andrew, a longtime electrician, most recently at APS Technologies, enjoyed boating, fishing, grilling and spending time with loved ones.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Andrew K. Breitzke, 67, of Meriden, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Marcinski) Breitzke.

Andy was born in Meriden, March 4, 1955, a son of Louise (Cooper) Breitzke of Wallingford and the late Andrew Breitzke. He graduated from Wilcox Technical H.S. in 1973 and started his career as an electrician having worked at Revere Corp., A.D.C., Eastern Plastics and currently at APS Technologies.

He enjoyed boating and fishing and loved to grill, cook and bake great food to share with his family and friends.

Many of his dishes originated from his vegetable garden that he loved to tend to.

In addition to his wife Margaret and mother Louise, Andy is survived by his children, Amy Schmaltz and her husband Chuck of Middlefield, and Andrew Breitzke of Florida; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Schmaltz and her fiancé Richard Parker, Andrew Breitzke, Charlie Schmaltz and Genevieve Schmaltz; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Lyle Mitchell of Wallingford; brother-in-law, Joseph Marcinski of Virginia; sister-in-law, Sheila Marcinski of Bristol; niece, Amanda Clarke; and nephew, Christopher Gagne.

He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Joanne Clarke.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday, March 18th, from 5 to 7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7pm.

Interment will be private in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
