Obituary: Elizabeth Acevedo, 60, of Meriden

Elizabeth, a caring and loving mother and grandmother, was known for her outgoing personality and sense of humor.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home) Elizabeth Acevedo, 60, of Meriden, loving wife of Jorge Acevedo, passed away on January 11, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center.

She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 13, 1961, a daughter of the late Octavio and Carmen Cruz-Pagan.

She is survived by her children; Janet Acevedo, Elizabeth Acevedo-Torres and her husband William, Jorge Acevedo, Jr. and his wife Carmen, the grandchildren whom she raised; Adriana Acevedo and Ashley Rodriguez, many brothers and sisters, and 16 more grandchildren.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife to Jorge Acevedo for over 40 years.

She was a caring mother and grandmother and was an inspiration to all that knew her.

We will miss all the pranks, jokes, her beautiful sense of humor, and that one of kind laugh that would make your hardest of days that much brighter.

Friends are invited to visit with Elizabeth’s family on Saturday, January 15th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Masks and social distancing practices will be observed.

Interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.
