Obituary: Marta Luz Castro, 67, of Meriden
Marta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Marta Luz Castro, 67, of Meriden, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at MidState Medical Center.
She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on May 12, 1954, a daughter of the late Pascual Castro Cruz and Hilda Echevarria.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ramon Luis Santiago; and her brother, Luis Castro.
She is survived by her children, Sonia Leon, Jackie Gonzalez, Marisol Esquilin, Marie Montes (Eric), Ramon Santiago and Madeline Bonilla (Jacob); 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Gladys Baboolall and Ada Castro; her brothers, Bienvenido Castro and Pablo Castro; and many nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 4 pm until 7 pm.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
