Obituary: Michael F. Velsor, 63, of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Michael F. Velsor, 63, of Meriden passed away Wednesday March 16, 2022 peacefully at home with his wife Cathleen (Nalty) Velsor by his side.

Michael was born in New York City, December 28, 1958, a son of the late John and Laura (Brayton) Velsor. Michael was predeceased by his brothers John and Phillip Velsor.

Michael was a successful business owner and worked as a residential contractor for many years. Michael married his beloved wife Cathleen on 11-12-13 at 1415 in the afternoon, which he cleverly thought of himself.

Michael & Cathleen resided in the Meriden area and were proud members of the community and parish they attended.

In addition to his wife Cathy, he is survived by his daughters Christina Zesk (Late Wayne Zesk), and Jennifer Rock (Kevin Gargano). We also want to mention his nephew Brian Velsor (Susie Velsor) who he loved like a son; his beloved brother Mark Velsor (Nicolette) and sister Melissa Coppola (Frank).

And lastly, his crazy but loveable German Shepard Otis, who never failed to watch over his bedside. Michaels’ tireless love and devotion to his family were always evident even in his final moments.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 18th at 11am at Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin.

His family will receive relatives and friends in the church before the service from 10 to 11am. Interment will follow in Center Street Cemetery in Wallingford.
