MERIDEN CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Ralph J. Thomas, 70, of Meriden, passed away at his home on May 9, 2022.

Ralph was born on February 2, 1952, in Oxford, CT. He was the son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Bobrowsky) Thomas.

Ralph retired from Sikorsky Aircraft where he worked for 30 years. He lived his life fearlessly and spent his time on his passions. Ralph loved working on cars, riding his Harley, watching Nascar, driving around in his truck, and spending time with his family and friends.

Ralph had an amazing smile and an infectious laugh. He was quick to share a beer with a stranger and walk away with a friend.

If you knew Ralph, you can picture that smile right now and you are remembering at least one story that makes you laugh.

He is survived by his three children, Ralph Thomas of Meriden, Leah Murken and her husband Brian of San Diego, CA, Melissa Lester of Many, Louisiana, and his beloved 7 grandchildren.

He also leaves behind 2 sisters, Mary Vinci of Oxford and Sharon Romano of Oxford, 7 nieces and nephews, and his dog Cocoa who we all lovingly referred to as his favorite child.

Ralph is gone too soon and will be deeply missed. His memory will carry on with all who knew and loved him and especially through his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
