Obituary: Rock Douglas Foell, 59, of Meriden
Rock, known for his larger-than-life personality and loving nature, worked as a self-employed general contractor.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home) Rock Douglas Foell, 59, lifelong resident of Meriden, unexpectedly passed away due to a tragic accident, on January 5, 2022 in Hartford.
He was born in Meriden on January 26, 1962, a son of the late Alfred Edward and Sandra Burgett Foell.
He is survived by his daughter Jenna Lahey-Foell, longtime girlfriend Barbie Poplin, brother Michael Foell and Susan Vaccaro, and sisters; Elizabeth Foell, Deborah Foell, Melinda DuMond and her husband Frank, and Beverly Butcher.
Predeceased by his sister Laurie Erickson.
He also leaves behind many cousins and friends.
Rock had been working as a self-employed general contractor until his passing.
Rock was a friend to many and loved by all.
He was willing to help anyone at any time.
His personality was larger than life, and you always knew when he was in the room.
He will be missed by all.Friends are invited to visit with his family from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14th at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
A memorial service celebrating Rock’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m.
