A Meriden woman was arrested last weekend after Danbury police say she left her 3-year-old child behind to attend a party, according to <a href="http://www.newstimes.com/policereports/article/Police-Child-3-left-to-wander-in-the-cold-4306598.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a report in the Danbury News Times</a>. Monica Panora, 35, was arrested Sunday and charged with risk of injury to a minor. According to the report, Panora told police she left her child in the care of the child's uncle, identified as Rafael Freire-Recuenco, 36, of Danbury, so she could go to a party. But police were called to a home on Town Hill Aveunue around midnight after a neighbor reported that the child was outside and <a href="http://www.newstimes.com/policereports/article/Police-Child-3-left-to-wander-in-the-cold-4306598.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"pacing back and forth, knocking on the door."</a> Freire-Recuenco is also charged with risk of injury to a minor.
