‘She Is Always Willing To Help’ Others: Meriden Star Student

MERIDEN, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Katie was a student of mine and volunteered in our school for years

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Katie should be recognized as she is always willing to help, support, and assist others in school, after school activities, church, home, and in the community. Katie is a strong and focused student who is interested in learning while applying her knowledge and skills. Katie wants to be successful and makes every effort to achieve her goals. When facing setbacks or disappointment, she self reflects and perseveres to grow and improve. Katie is friendly, kind, understanding, confident, and has a great sense of humor. Katie has a strong sense of self and strives to be the best she can be.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Katie is always willing to learn and apply new knowledge and experiences to grow as an individual and share this with others.
