Suzio Welcomes 'Kid Senator' to State Capitol
Thomas Hooker Elementary School 5th Grader Georgia Showerda of Meriden was recently named "Kid Senator" for the 13th Senatorial District.

From the Connecticut General Assembly: Thomas Hooker Elementary School 5th Grader Georgia Showerda of Meriden (seated) was recently named “Kid Senator” for the 13th Senatorial District for a research presentation on improving bus safety that she submitted to a statewide civics program. Sen. Len Suzio (standing) on Apr. 13 took Georgia and her mother Jessica on a tour of the historic State Capitol. Georgia sat in the 13th Senatorial District chair in the State Senate Chamber and participated in Capitol events, including Animal Therapy Day.
